In this online course, Dr. Dr. Johann Lechner provides you with the theoretical foundations of NICOs, as well as the knowledge for the diagnosis and treatment of residual bone inflammations.
NICO - WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
Chronic inflammations in the jawbone are not uncommon. These inflammatory foci usually result from old, suboptimally healed tooth extraction wounds, tooth buds, or foreign bodies. The consequence: a chronic overstimulation of the autonomic nervous system with sometimes severe problems for the entire body. In this case, it is referred to as NICO - Neuralgia Inducing Cavitational Osteonecrosis. Besides root canal treatment, NICO represents another significant interference field for the entire body, often preventing the patient's complete recovery. In the context of this online course, Dr. Dr. Johann Lechner provides the theoretical foundations of NICO, as well as the knowledge for the diagnosis and treatment of residual bone inflammations.

- In the first part of the online course, the focus is on precancerous and pre-inflammatory niches in the jawbone, while in the second part, the concept of the "jaw interference field" is scientifically reevaluated.
