How to become a specialist in biological dentistry and ceramic implants
The way to become a specialist
The curriculum “Specialist in Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants” is recognized by the two societies ISMI International Society for Metalfree Implantology and IAOCI International Academy Of Ceramic Implantology, consists of compulsory courses and 100 completed and documented ceramic implant cases, and is concluded with a written and oral examination, which is administered by the board of ISMI e.V.
Passing the exam entitles you to use the title “Specialist in Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants”, which was confirmed by the Bavarian Dental Association in 2020.
It is aimed at dentists and implantologists who place ceramic implants and practice biological dentistry. In order to be approved for the curriculum examination, you must, among other things, provide proof of participation in some of the courses offered by SWISS BIOHEALTH EDUCATION. Examination dates are usually held 2 times a year. After successful completion of this curriculum “Specialist in Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants” you will also be listed among our top users.
The curriculum “specialist in biological dentistry and ceramic implants” consists of required courses, 100 completed and documented ceramic implant cases and is concluded with a written and verbal examination, which is approved by the board of directors of the ISMI e.V.
The curriculum “Specialist in Biological Dentistry and Ceramic Implants” was developed from the continuing education program of the SWISS BIOHEALTH EDUCATION CENTER. Information about the course dates and course registration can be found in our continuing education program 2022 or under the heading All courses.
The order in which steps 1 – 4 are completed is freely selectable.
There is no time limit in which the Curriculum must be completed.

After participation in the mandatory courses and submission of case documentation, the written examination is held.

IF YOU DO NOT REACH THE 164 POINTS, YOU HAVE THE POSSIBILITY TO USE THE FOLLOWING „JOKER“
10 additional points can be achieved by a scientific paper on a specific topic. This should be at least 5 to a maximum of 10 DIN A4 pages long and must be submitted as PDF. It also must contain at least 10 references from PubMed.de.
The paper will then be made available to all users in the SLACK-Channel #documents. Please let us know in time if you are interested so that we can provide you with relevant topics (example: vitamin K2 and blood thinners).
